Doctor Macdonald dies suddenly at 51 in Jamaica Plain
Medical examiner William G. Macdonald died of heart failure at 8:35 last night at 580 Centre street Jamaica Plain after several months illness. He was 51, born in South Boston, lived in the city, and leaves wife Catherine Kinney and four children Nan Catherine Edward and Gregory. He served as south district medical examiner for Suffolk County and was affiliated with Boston College Harvard Medical School class of 1888, the Medical Examiners Association of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He succeeded Examiner Draper and earlier was medical inspector of the Board of Health. He was a charter member of Cathedral Court foresters and the A. O. U. W.
