The list of nearly 100 applicants for admission to the bar includes three women Margaret J Maher of Dorchester Charlotte A Perkins of Melrose and Mabel R Sonnabend of Dorchester. They will be reported to the court February 19 and admitted February 21. Train Breaks in Long Tunnel In St Louis

Baltimore & Ohio westbound train No. 8 the St. Louis express broke in two in a tunnel under the business district. Three sleeping cars from Washington New York and Cincinnati were left behind for an hour. A broken coupling on the forward sleeper released the air brakes sending the cars to halt near the Eads bridge. Passengers walked to Washington Avenue station to escape the smoke-filled tunnel.

Michael Casey of Athens Pennsylvania plans to leave New York after a series of robberies. He arrived and was robbed of $100 and a gold watch by a stranger in Jersey City.
