Albany Dec 30 The Court of Appeals held a telegraph company is not responsible for errors in a message unless gross negligence. Stephen M Weld & Co sued the Postal Telegraph Co after an operator misquoted a cotton sale of 20 000 bales at 12 70 a pound instead of 12 07 causing a loss of 27565. The case returns for retrial after conflicting verdicts.
