Emily Chamberlain died at her Melrose home from age related illness. Born in Lexington, she lived with daughter Mrs G M Brigham at 994 Main. Survived by three children Russell Chamberlain Mrs John Kohr and Mrs Charles Robinson, plus three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her grandfather fought at Lexington Green and Lafayette once thanked a group of schoolgirls including her.

Carmen's New Headquarters Move for Boston Street Union

Boston unions push new wage scale for print shops

Negotiations since May 1 between union representatives and employers continue with no firm date set for a decision. A Boston Union 12 meeting aims for a definite report by January 6, seeking raises, a 48 hour week, overtime at time and a half, and Sunday holiday pay across Boston Cambridge and Norwood shops in 40 job lines. About 600 union members attended the session with 506 votes cast on a proposal.
