Fire drives 300 from Hotel Northampton on Washington Street
About 300 guests at the Hotel Northampton on 1850 Washington Street were forced to flee just before 5 pm when a fire was discovered on the third floor. The blaze, of unknown origin, spread through the upper floors and roof, gutting a section of the building after an hour of efforts by fire crews.
