Nude Broadway promenade ends with man’s brief mania

A young man walked naked along Broadway in New York before being restrained by Adams Express staff and police. He shouted for salvation, was taken to Church Street Station, and later regained his reason after hospital care. he recalled nothing of the episode.

Pennsylvania Railroad Sells Reduced Tickets via Washington Route

The Pennsylvania Railroad Company announces that from Sunday December until further notice first and second class tickets from New York Philadelphia and intermediate points Long Branch and Atlantic City to points west of Pittsburg via Washington will be sold at the same rates as via the direct route. Tickets allow a stopover at Washington up to ten days and offer a view of the nation’s capital without extra railroad travel cost.

State of Texas joins harbor fleet amid brisk arrivals

The old iron steamer State of Texas arrived from Baltimore to replace the lost Fairfax and unloads at Battery wharf. Sailors gathered at Seamen's Bethel while a yard of coasting schooners and Turret Court type steamers, including Turret Chief sister ships, entered harbor. Total coal receipts at the port reach over 3.2 million tons for anthracite and bituminous.

Progress Club Hosts Joyful Party for 150 Children

Miss Clara Sutro daughter of the late Adolph Sutro and William J. English of Chicago were quietly married yesterday afternoon at the residence of the Right Rev Bishop Montgomery who officiated.
