Friday afternoon an unknown 45 year old man collapsed at Old Colony station in Roslindale. Dr. Howard attributed death to apoplexy. The body, taken to City Hospital morgue, is described as dark complexioned with a full brown beard, brown trousers and vest, dark coat, and a black cap. A letter addressed to George Q. McBreris of 8 Seneca Street was found in his pocket.
George E Cornwall of 28 Batchelder street Melrose recovers his son after the child was taken by Lucy Amber a servant. The boy Georgie was found with Amber in Boston and returned to Melrose where the reunion with his father occurred. The child recalls walking and being subjected to pins on his feet and suspicions of drugging.
Mr Cornwall doubts the woman planned the act and suggests thoughts arose later. Lucy Ambler was brought to police quarters yesterday to explain her motive for taking the child, feigning indifference and remaining silent. She is sent to Sherborn prison where she has served two drunkenness terms and was bound out for domestic service to Mr Cornwall on Dec 6 1893.
Four workmen employed on the stock exchange building under construction at La Salle and Washington streets were hurled from a sixth floor crude outside elevator this afternoon. All suffered serious injuries and one or two may die from internal injuries. The victims are B. Morrison, J. Brennan, Abraham Hanson and J. Gibbons.
