Miss Saltonstall to Wed Meyer in Boston Social Event

Wright motor donated to Le Mans museum

The first motor used by Wilbur Wright was presented to the Le Mans museum by Leon Bollee, the French automobile and aero plane constructor who recently died. Bollee also left models related to early automobile and aircraft history to the museum.

Mrs Benton Addresses Vermont Association in Boston

Mrs. Benton wife of Colonel Everett C. Benton spoke at the Vermont Association meeting at Copley Plaza Boston last night. She described a trip through South America illustrated by lantern slides and noted she and Colonel Benton recently toured the entire continent.

Saxonville Man Finds Two Foot Eleven Inch Parsnip

L Young of Saxonville dug a bed of parsnips and unearthed a colossal specimen measuring two feet ten inches in length. The main root matches a normal parsnip, but the extended tail creates an unusually large vegetable that prompted a report to the Post vegetable editor.

Taught Girl to Steal Charged in Wakefield Break-ins

Pringle, 19, held on four counts of breaking and entering and larceny after pleading guilty to one count. Bertha Eldridge, arrested with him, is sought in Lowell on a Mill City charge. Wakefield police linked a red sweater and two suitcases to thefts from at least twelve Wakefield houses, all tied to Pringle.

Crippled Captain Reassigned Promoted in Charlestown

Fireman and Editor Gould Dies After Illness in Melrose

James M. Gould a veteran fire fighter and eight year editor of the Fireman's Standard died after a ten day pneumonia illness in Melrose. Born December 10 1844 in Charlestown he served 25 years with Charlestown Boston and Somerville fire departments and helped fight the great Boston fire. He was associated with the John E Wool hose company in Somerville and the Winter Hill hose company. Survived by widow Julia A Gould and daughter Mrs Rose M Story of Melrose 328 East Foster Street.
