Fined Shoplifters and Two Young Girls for Pin Theft
Judge Dewey in Municipal Criminal Court fined six shoplifters $15 each to set an example and fined two very young girls one cent for stealing a diamond pin. The girls, innocent in appearance, unscrewed the pin from James Shea of Salem in a doorway with Big Mike Kelly and Patrolman Goff recovering the pin. Shea refused to prosecute.
