Folklore Society Hosts Arctic Lecture at Grundmann Studios

Word came Thursday of the Atlanta streetcar accident death of Col Hubbard L. Hart of Palatka Fla. A Boston summer resident for a decade, Hart was famed as the Orange King for Palatka’s famed orange grove and river navigation projects. He was born in Guildford Vt in 1827 and earlier served as an assistant quartermaster for the Confederacy. Survived by his second wife Miss Thompson and a daughter, he left Boston for Palatka after hearing the news.
