Captain W. M. Davis of East Hardwick, Vermont, aged about 65, ended his life last Saturday by ingesting paris green. A former sea captain, he retired about 25 years ago to East Hardwick, ran a business, and served as postmaster for many years. A paralytic shock a year earlier left him partly disabled and he had recently felt like a burden to his family, with no clear reason for the self inflicted death.
