The Boston United Housekeepers plan to extend the egg boycott to suburbs and women’s clubs in Greater Boston. A committee studies market district stores to run a cost price shop selling eggs and vegetables bought directly from farmers, with branches in various districts and a planned opening by early next week.

Keliher Seeks Boston Mayor Ballot With Signatures

Ex congressman John A. Keliher has secured five thousand signatures to run for Boston mayor. Thomas J. Kenny has near forty percent certified, likely securing ballot placement tonight. Rumors say Keliher may withdraw to back Mayor Fitzgerald but he has not commented and plans to stay in the race. Four years ago Keliher supported James J. Storrow. Curley’s friends expect Fitzgerald to remain in the contest. Worker Loses Eye From Steel Chip on Nevada Crew

Nicholas Abraham a 29 year old Fore River Works Quincy employee was struck in the left eye by a hot steel rivet chip while working on the Nevada. Doctors removed one eye and severed the sympathetic nerve to save the other. He is at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary recovering from the injury.

Delicate Brain Bone Removal Performed in Brockton

In Brockton William Reardon had a triangular piece of bone removed from his brain at City Hospital by Dr. Fre W. O'Brien, formerly of Boston. The operation was one of the most delicate seen there, with about a score of physicians and surgeons observing. Rosdon will recover.
