Girl Killed by Bomb Sent Through Mail

Ida Anusewitz an 18 year old confidential bookkeeper at the O K Bottling Company on West Thirty Fifth Street was killed when a bomb sent to her employers exploded. Thomas McCabe a managing salesman was cut by flying metal and Michael Ryan an outside employee was injured by shattered glass. The desk bearing the tomb was demolished and the office wrecked.

A bomb addressed to a girl lay unopened for an hour on her desk before exploding as she cut the cord and removed the wrapping. Detectives pursue clues including a damaged brown paper label and a return address listed as 23 State Street New York City. The building houses exporting firms and many foreigners.
