Cremated in Barn Tragedy Claims Local Teamster

John Kerr a 38 year old teamster for L S Sherman grain dealer was found dead in Dr. R E Bell’s barn at 57 Wannalanoit street after a fire started when he dropped a lantern while delivering hay. Investigators believe the fall ignited the blaze and he died from unconsciousness. Kerr left a wife and four young children and was praised by employer and police for his steadiness.
