Norfolk grand jury finds Getchell guilty of manslaughter in rail crash
The Norfolk county grand jury indicted Daniel W. Getchell for manslaughter over a Sharon station collision that killed four aboard the rear train and injured others. The panel also indicted Samuel Lucas and John A. Stanley of Boston for forgery in Dedham. Mrs Bates of East Weymouth was not charged after no bill was returned in her murder and arson case. she had stood jailed since September and was released once the jury reported.
