Fire Commissioner Zeller Carried Through Window in Boston

Fire Commissioner Zeller of Buffalo and District Engineer John A. Mullen were riding in South Boston when a frightened horse bolted down Broadway. Quiet day at Martin Bros rubber works in Chelsea

Chelsea police kept about eighteen to twenty officers on Easton avenue to guard female workers after a three month strike. Sixteen girls from East Boston faced abuse from striking workers, with two belligerent girls briefly in Chelsea Police Court but discharged.

Gate City steamer to be floated after 27 days repair

The Nickerson steamer Gate City, after twenty seven days of repairs, will be floated today. A new eighty three foot keel line and keelsons were installed, the forefoot and bow rebuilt to ten feet draft, about sixty damaged frames repaired, thirty seven plates replaced outside and the ceiling renewed inside, with plates averaging 3 by 14 feet.
