A minister reports his daughter left home Monday afternoon and has not returned. He rejects the possibility she harmed herself, while authorities search areas nearby and question family and friends for clues.
Reverend W A Hudson of South End denies his 16 year old daughter Grace authored a letter to police threatening suicide by jumping from Harvard Bridge. The missing teen has been under investigation since Monday and the case remains active with police involvement.
President Wilson left Washington for the summer capital Cornish New Hampshire with hopeful hopes for peace negotiations in Mexico. Dispatches from Nelson OShaughnessy reported encouraging signs from Mexico City as the trip was timed for a brief rest over Labor Day.
In Framingham Aug 29 the Holy Rollers leader Mother Etter and co workers Cyrus B Fockler and Earle W Clark were ordered to appear before Judge Kingsbury Tuesday morning to hear his verdict on charges of obtaining money fraudulently for cures during a revival. The fourth day of the trial was sensational with Etter and Fockler testifying in their own defense while Clark declined to testify. The court adjourned until Tuesday morning for the verdict.
Mrs Etter expressed confidence in acquittal for all and said meetings would continue at Montwait at least through Tuesday. The trial disrupted plans to depart for Hot Springs where meetings begin September 22. Her husband, recovering at Montwall, is ill from the trial excitement and is a cripple needing crutches.

Commuters at North Station saw a dramatic six o clock pursuit involving a police inspector an alleged snatch thief and a Detroit woman a wealthy traveler who aided the arrest.
Walter J. Holmes, 19, was arrested near the station by Inspector Walter Murphy after allegedly snatching a walrus seal travelling bag from Miss Ella M. Liggett of Detroit. Liggett identified the bag’s contents and monogrammed ivory toilet set, and Holmes was booked at police headquarters.
Mrs. W. G. Hanford and Mrs. Beatrice Recknadel of New York climbed the Mt. Washington railway trestle in darkness last night. The ascent, done as the result of a wager, is said to be unprecedented for women.
Two unidentified men on Washington Street narrowly escaped serious injury after a trolley pole detached from a City Point car and showered sparks over a crowd. Sparks ignited clothing but injuries were not reported. service halted for 16 to 20 minutes while emergency crews repaired the line at Dover and Washington streets.
Sherbrooke Quebec reports Superior Judge Hutchinson has agreed to issue a writ of habeas corpus for Harry K Thaw. Canadian lawyers for New York State seek immediate court production and Thaw’s return to trial.
In a perilous ascent, two women crossed the Jacob's Ladder trestle despite no lights. Railroad lanterns pursued to dissuade them, but they reached the summit about 10 PM after five miles in four and a half hours. They stayed at a mountain home until morning, then were driven back to their hotel by Mr Han ford's motor car.

Mrs. Mary Ferguson an L ticket seller testified before the special arbitration board at Ford Hall yesterday. After paying back 1.20 in car fares she earned 8.52 for a week of 44 hours in the booth or between rushes. She said the wage forces her to cover shortages caused by herself, a platform man, or a patron who takes change.
She testified that a ticket seller can receive 50 to 200 dollars daily and must bear loss if a money bag goes missing after deposits. Her hours allowed only two meals daily and wages were so low that seven years with the Elev ated company yielded only one vacation.
