Fishing and mackerel prospects amid fogs and weak trade
Fishing operations slowed by fog and poor weather with mackerel fleets inactive off the eastern coast. A few fish reported in Barnstable Bay and Campobello, Mininegash, and St. Peter's, Cape Breton Island, but overall season output remains low and prices expected to stay weak. Trade in cod and other fish markets shows soft demand, with prices for various catches and canned goods broadly steady to easing.
