Forests Face Irreparable Harm From Tariff on Canadian Lumber

Dear Sir I oppose a protective duty on Canadian lumber. The forest history of Europe and the U S shows rapid depletion if forests are not protected. Wisconsin pine lands controlled by few men, timber owners, influence Congress to keep duties. Trees take decades to replace and hardwoods do not regrow like other commodities. Protection helps owners more than workers. I favor forest preservation and warn against wholesale timber slaughter.
