One Killed and Many Hurt in Washington Street Wellesley Hills Accident

A crowded electric car carrying members of the Brighton Social Club left the tracks on Washington Street in Wellesley Hills yesterday morning and struck a tree. One man died, five others were seriously injured and others suffered minor injuries. The injured were taken to Newton Hospital.

John Garvey of Watertown died at Newton Hospital from internal injuries. Injured include Axel Benson of Brighton with spine damage, Maurice Noonan with a fractured foot, Thomas Harney with a fractured leg, Andrew Egan with cuts, James McMahon with multiple fractures and injuries.

Malden Boy Killed by Auto at Bass Point

Warren Colclough eight year old son of William Colclough of 20 Park street Malden was struck and killed by an approaching truck driven by John Kennedy of Bass Point as they walked to the merry go round. The car passed over the boy before it could be stopped and Kennedy took him to Lynn Hospital where he died.
