President Taft and Mrs Taft leave a Cabinet meeting in Beverly as the day’s cares weigh heavy on him. A long pardon list fills the forenoon while the afternoon session with MacVeagh Wickersham and Meyer covers tariff board personnel interstate commerce and anti trust act changes and Navy Department measures.
The cabinet discussed a 49 name tariff board for three seats with James B Reynolds named as a possible selection. They planned no decision until a full meeting and considered shifting rate investigations to the Commerce Department. They also debated Sherman act revisions and will not present further changes to the cabinet. Attorney General Wickersham departs for New York tomorrow.
District of Columbia troops about 2000 strong will march through Boston en route to Washington aboard the Sumner and McClellan. Brigadier General Harries leads the parade with infantry and artillery units, while non issued horses remain ashore. Public interest centers on the orderly crowd and reception along the route.

Arthur Larvie a 16 year old clerk at G H Clark s drug store Woodsville New Hampshire was killed when caught in the flywheel of a gasoline ice cream engine in the cellar. He was found at 9 o clock by a fellow clerk and the running engine continued to injure him as his head jammed against the spokes.
About 8 o clock a boy was pulled into a running engine after his clothes tangled with the belt and wheel. He struggled as fabric tore away, coat left intact as he tried to free himself. Wayne Clark discovered the body in the cellar after hearing the engine scream to life.
Father Thomas J. Ducey rector of St. Leo's Catholic Church died at his country home in St. James New York of dropsy. He was 65 and famed for his parish work and wide circle of actor friends in the hotel district. Born in Ireland and educated in America.
Authorities fail to identify the two month old boy found at 2210 Massachusetts Avenue North Cambridge. The baby is now at Cambridge City Home on Tannery Street for a week, dressed in fine clothes and wrapped in a heavy woolen shawl with a nursing bottle.
The sloop yacht Dare bound for New York ran ashore on Middle Ground Shoal in Vineyard Sound during a moderate northerly wind. It floated without assistance and proceeded apparently uninjured.
New York reports E. H. Harriman expected to arrive aboard the Kaiser Wilhelm II at 8 am Tuesday. A public medical word on his health could affect the railway system and stock market with potential panic if his condition worsens or if death occurs.

Richard Jones a Cambridge chauffeur is dying at Cottage Hospital from burns after the touring car he operated caught fire on South street near Commonwealth avenue. Four women occupants jumped to safety. two named Mrs Henry E Brock and Miss Brock Cambridge sustained sprained ankles. The others fainted from fright as Jones burst into flames and toppled unconscious on the road.
Flames engulfed the Brock Bros. automobile on South street sending four occupants scrambling to safety. Jones, 13 Irving terrace, Cambridge, was rushed to hospital by A G Pearce of Jamaica Plain. The driver, a colored man, sustained fatal burns. four women were treated for shock as the car burned and the gasoline tank exploded.
The forecast for New England on Monday and Tuesday calls for pair weather and rising temperatures with light to moderate west winds. Steamers sailing Monday to European ports will also see light to moderate west winds and general fair weather toward the Grand Banks.
Attack on George Cabot Lodge and his private secretary ended in sudden heart failure from indigestion. Senator Henry Cabot Lodge owned Tuckanuck Island and visited with his son for rest. The body was sent to Nahant after medical transport to Falmouth.

Locomotive 338 tender left the rails on the Grand Junction tracks between Main and Harvard in Cambridge. Five hours of freight delay followed as track crews, 20 men, and a wrecking crane worked from Brighton to replace the tender and repair the roadbed before traffic resumed at six o'clock.
