Italian Cork Merchant Arrested for Illegal Alien Wife Case

Martin Vera of Genoa a cork merchant was arrested aboard the Cincinnati from Hamburg and faced United States Commissioner Hayes for bringing an alien woman Yvonne Bossuet into the country as a wife. Bossuet was deported after inquiry. Katsumekos alias James Brown held for grand jury on charges of bringing Ethel Hight to Lowell from Nashua for illegal purposes and released on bail.

Jump From Train Leaves East Boston Man Hospitalized

Michael Rubino of 64 Lubec Street East Boston was found beside railroad tracks near the Quincy station last Sunday and has been unconscious in a Quincy hospital. He recovered enough to tell doctors his name and address but remains in serious condition after saying he jumped from a train as it passed.
