Police seek Diven as a suspect in the thefts and the missing books.
Mrs Emma KE Stevens widow of Herbert E Chase married yesterday to chauffeur George E Stevens and has disappeared. Friends think she and her husband are on honeymoon. The ceremony was a surprise to Haverhill society. The Chase limousine was seen leaving Haverhill toward Ward Hill, possibly to visit Stevens' son.
In the National League Cincinnati beat Boston and New York 10 to 5 and 5 to 4 while St Louis won 2 to 1 after dropping a first game. Pittsburg defeated Brooklyn 5 to 1 and Philadelphia won 10 to 1. Chicago edged Philadelphia 6 to 5 in 11 innings. In the American League Cleveland topped Boston 5 to 2. Chicago won 10. Washington beat Detroit 3 to 2. Philadelphia won its game. In the Eastern League Pittsfield beat Hartford 4 to 2 then lost 1 to 0. Springfield defeated Worcester 7 to 3 while Bridgeport beat Providence 6 to 3. New Haven split with Waterbury 1–4 and 3–4.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at St. Joseph's Church in Somerville for James J. Muldoon of 24 Putnam Street. He died yesterday at Somerville Hospital after a 16 week illness. Muldoon was a proprietor of Metropolitan Mailing & Messenger Company at 67 Bromfield Street, Boston. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
