In North Conway New Hampshire on August 8 Charles Bennett of Windham Maine shot Ida Miller of Standish Maine on a public road near Quint's Siding then killed himself after forcing the couple’s car ride and quarrels with Bennett whose abuse and drinking led to the tragedy. Witnesses report the scene near the Saco bridge and Quint's Siding with the two deaths instant. The couple had a troubled background including a divorce and a child of twelve.
