Casablanca on the Moroccan coast has been bombarded by French cruisers and occupied by landing parties from French and Spanish ships. Moors reportedly suffered heavy losses while six Frenchmen were wounded and no Europeans killed. The action follows a native uprising that killed eight Europeans last week.

In South Boston last evening William Marrian of 9 Hollis street Boston a Presley & Co employee was assaulted by a gang on Sixth street between B and C after a strike related flare up. He died after seeking refuge on an electric car as onlookers shouted kill him now mob him lynch him.
Marrian, after grabbing his horses from a Sixth street stable, rode a Bay View car to flee a gang of youths. The mob threatened passengers, tore off the trolley, and struck Marrian in the head, leaving him badly cut. He plans to seek police protection.
A 13 year old girl Gertrude McKenzie reported losing 4 near Roxbury Crossing. Sergeant Andrew Fay and his squad pooled funds to help. Fellow officers contributed and Lieutenant Fessenden presented the girl with an envelope containing 5.50 after she was told the money had been found.
Announcement clarifies that Thomas G. Fitzgerald & Company held a license revoked yesterday and that the licensee is not related to the mayor. The mayor voiced indignation at being linked to the matter and stressed there was no truth in the claimed relationship.

Joseph H. White, who enlisted at age 9 years 8 months as drummer boy in Company A Second New Hampshire Volunteers, dies in New Britain Connecticut at 54 from pneumonia. He leaves a widow and six children.

A hurried intruder tied the family dog to a chair and forced open doors at 1 Arlington Street, Back Bay, taking $250 in cash and trinkets from Mrs Myra E Stearns. He hired as a day laborer minutes earlier and left behind $10,000 in negotiable bonds.
