Fire on car causes panic near Chestnut Hill Newton
About 16 passengers on an inward bound Boston and Worcester open electric car were thrown into a panic as a trolley wire broke near the Chestnut Hill Newton line at 11 20 tonight and ignited the car. Motorman 174 and Conductor 137 led the scramble while Robert Parks aged 35 of Roxbury suffered a wrenched shoulder. After a long delay another car was obtained and the passengers reached Boston.
