St John bridge to cross St John river opens Aug 19

The cantilever bridge at St John NB will be formally dedicated on August 19. A trial run with four locomotives and loaded cars showed near imperceptible deflection. The bridge, part of the St John Bridge and Railway Extension, links eastern New Brunswick and Maine systems, enabling through trains without river ferries.

Peculiar Methods in Mary Celeste Case Exposed in Court
