Copper Market Slump Amid Copper Stock Decline

Frustrated by early gains copper shares fell sharply Friday as weak holders and stop orders accelerated losses. Montana stock slipped while other copper names like Quincy Tamarack Osceola and Butte retreated, with a cautious outlook for further declines though some argue long term fundamentals remain solid. The report notes flat demand in funds, a quiet money market, and rumors of a syndicate seeking foreign gold to cover exchanges.
