Nearly 1500 delegates to the Associated Advertising Clubs of America convention attended a noonday luncheon at Tremont Temple hosted by the Boston Post. The group, many with wives, marched from Faneuil Hall after opening exercises led by a band.
Alarm gripped South Boston as 150 members of the Tuohey Associates set out from Marine Park aboard the power boat Madeline to Houghs Neck. The vessel departed City Point last evening and had not been heard since 3 am, leaving authorities and families anxious.
A boat carrying club members and guests left Marine Park at 8 15 in light dress with no provisions. A dense fog quickly rolled in, delaying harbor traffic and sparking frantic calls to Hough's Neck and Touhey Associates cottages as the party failed to reach its destination before the fog grounded all ships.

Bishop Willard F. Mallalien of the Methodist Episcopal Church died at his Au burndale home at 9 last night after more than a month of illness. He was one of the oldest church officials in the country and lived at 42 Grove street.
A man, sick since late June, faced a severe hot spell last month with repeated unconsciousness. Doctors Hutchinson and Godfrey of Auburndale restored him several times, but the illness ended suddenly in the early evening despite a brief improvement.
Castle Square Hotel advertises a European plan with over one mile front, private ball, long distance telephone in each room, and the only no tip hotel dining room in the United States. It lists 50 single suites with private baths, 100 double suites for two, and 850 double alcove suites with private baths at rates from $2.00 to $3.00 per day, plus baggage transfers.
At about 8 o'clock he suffered a relapse, became unconscious and died an hour later despite physicians efforts. Though very ill, he had seemed better recently and was hoped to live several more months. At his bedside at death were his wife, his son Willard FE Mallalieu, and two doctors.
In New York Aug 1 Dorothy Arnold is alive and abroad. her parents have gone to Europe to search. Miss Griffith, aunt Mrs Rufus W Peckham's companion, says a dispatch from Biddeford Pool Me clarifies the situation. Earlier reports indicated she was abroad with no further details.
Jesse Pomeroy remains in solitary at Charlestown State Prison after another escape attempt. He refuses to explain how he made the weapon and could have used a drill to pick his cell lock. Governor Foss faces slim chances to modify his 35 year confinement.
Guards discovered a stock, bit and drill in Pomeroy’s right sleeve during a cell search. Officials believe the tools intended to aid escape by drilling the cell lock, as Governor Foss weighs moving him from solitary to join other prisoners.
