Carry No Boats Plan For Atlantic Flight

Flight engineers outline a crossing method using three floats under the aircraft for buoyancy while avoiding heavy pontoons. They plan 90 to 100 gallons of gasoline for about 30 hours of flying at 100 miles per hour. Lord Northcliffe offers a $150,000 prize for the first successful Atlantic crossing.

Trusteess deny Perry to build Dexter office tower

Dexter trustees threaten no new office building plan

The Dexter property trustees through adviser J Murray Howe say the new office building will not be erected if avoidable. They deem Mr Perry undesirable as lessee and note the lease does not require construction, limiting use to dry goods trade or department store activities not harming the premises, with no impact on the former Filene store portion.

Widow Seeks Six Year Workmen's Comp From Death

The state Supreme Court granted a first appeal in Milliken v Towle & Co and Travellers, challenging a board ruling that Mrs Caroline Milliken, widow of Frank T Milliken, is entitled to compensation for six years at $6.50 weekly. The dissenting board member James B Carroll disagreed with the majority finding that the death arose from a personal injury in the course of employment caused by an impaired driver of Towle & Co.
