The Commercial Bank of St Paul closed its doors this morning and posted that it has suspended operations for the present while efforts are made to pay all depositors tomorrow. A bank run occurred in the forenoon as the directory matched that of nearby failed insurers.
In Sorenspury Mont gomery Wales a keeper’s lions escaped during a performance. Two lions charged into the audience triggering a panic as crowds surged for exits. None were injured and the beasts roamed the village before retreating to the nearby mountains. recapture took over eight hours.

Westboro April 27 C Whitney Co lumber shed burned this afternoon from a spark from a Boston and Albany locomotive. Three hundred fifty thousand feet of well seasoned box lumber in the shed and several outside piles were destroyed. Loss seven thousand dollars insurance two thousand. The town narrowly escaped a destructive conflagration as eight buildings were on fire at one time.
