Pride of Boston Welcomes Yankee Division Home Parade
Boston and New England honored the Yankee Division with a six mile parade from Charles and Beacon to Commonwealth Avenue. Veterans marched in perfect rhythm, guns gleamed, flags flew as 20,500 soldiers, including wounded heroes in autos, passed honored stands while governors, senators, and generals looked on.
