A large force arrives in Nuevo Laredo and attacks car shops and a customs house before firing on American military guards at the bridge. U.S. troops return fire and withdraw. Federal forces dispatch more troops to Laredo to restore order.
At Nuevo Laredo opposite Laredo Texas, Mexican soldiers unleash dynamite and fire in a days long raid. Two Mexicans are reported killed by United States troops as American border patrol forces engage to halt the fighting and force a retreat southward.
A telegram to Dr. Herbert A. Parkyn reports that 20 refugees including 19 Americans and one British subject were captured by Huerta’s forces in Chicago on April 24 and are believed to have been executed by firing squad.
Mrs Britt of 283 Kennebunk Street Athol Massachusetts credits Father John's Medicine, a food tonic, with saving her baby's life. The claim appears in a local testimonial promising health benefits and strength.
Washington reports the Mexican federals moved on Nuevo Laredo this afternoon prompting U S firing at Laredo across the border but the President will not order an immediate invasion of northern Mexican territory and will hold off as long as he can.

A. Mangan, engineer Elliott, and conductors Riley and Hart. At Motzolongo were Edward Weunch, his son Sydney, A. M. Thomas, and an Englishman named Mr. Boyd.
