The Navy Publicized the court of inquiry into the Chicago steering gear failure as the cruiser departed New York Navy Yard on February six. The panel held Naval Constructor Hibbs responsible for the breakdown and implied fault in the vessel's handling.
In the absence of opportunity to be heard, no action has been taken yet against the subject. John Nolan, master shipfitter, and Darius Gallagher, leading man at the New York Navy Yard, are charged with responsibility and suspended for ten days from work and pay.

Eight year old Charles Connors of 26 Dacia Street attempted to jump onto a moving car on Blue Hill Avenue near Dalmatia Street last evening and fell. One wheel severely crushed his left hand.
