London April 21 The government released a sworn statement by Horst von der Goltz a German secret agent now in U S custody detailing his activities in America The document is rich with dates places and names and is prefaced by a memorandum about his identity and arrest in England
The memorandum notes von der Goltz admitted indorsing a check signed by Captain von Papen seized at Falmouth and spent Jan 1 drafting a voluntary statement sworn to later. The remarks say the statement is corroborated by the von Papen checks, which he could not have known were in British hands. Von der Goltz’s account continues with leaving the Mexican army on Aug 3, 1914 and directions from Consul Kuck to report to von Papen after travels to Washington and Asbury Park.
George W. Stilson 55 a Portsmouth saloon keeper was found unconscious near his home early today and died en route to a hospital. Dr. Towle said skull fracture from a blackjack blow caused the death. Stilson had been at his business until closing hours and carried no money on his person.
James A. Allen twelve of 92 Moreland Street Somerville died at Somerville Hospital from injuries after being struck by an automobile owned and operated by Reginald W. Doe of 14 Highland Road Somerville Doe took the boy to the hospital then surrendered to Medford police the accident occurred on Mystic Avenue near Fremont Street just over the Medford line Doe was driving home his stenographer Miss Gergette Newcomb of Medford.

Benjamin Shanks, 45, a color man from Roxbury, was pushed overboard from the coal lighter Pequassette off Long wharf and drowned about 7 last night. Harbor police recovered the body after grappling. Richard Burke, 44, East Boston, is detained for investigation. Shanks had returned from supper with William Williams when an altercation led to the fatal shove.

Wilson Texas April 20 reports say Francisco Villa moved through Troya twenty five miles east of Parral on April 10 two days before the engagement between American and Carranza forces. The report, if true, would undermine claims Villa’s body was found at San Francisco Borjas on April 15 after burial for two weeks.
Washington dispatches report negotiations with General Carranza and the pursuit of Villa by American troops are at a standstill. President Wilson awaits full advices on military problems faced by the troops in Mexico.
Major General Hugh L Scott arrives in San Antonio to confer with General Funston as Secretary Baker seeks fuller border information.
