Geo Showls alias John Fitzgerald and Percy Curley, linked to a Roxbury Dorchester gang, were arrested in Lynn for breaking into Thomas Casey's Lynn home on April 16 and stealing clothing worth 20 dollars. Curley faces jewelry theft at Solon Bryant's 7% Wyman Street house. Showls was taken to Boston after questioning.

In South Boston yesterday afternoon around 1 pm a young man about 20 with a smooth face and no overcoat demanded Lena Murphy’s pocketbook on BE and Silver Streets. He grabbed the bag, pushed her, and fled with $8 inside. Murphy was shocked but not seriously hurt.

Mrs Ellen Murphy age 35 of 51 Essex Street Cambridge took poison at 449 Main Street Charlestown yesterday evening while visiting Mrs Ahearne. She drank Rough on Rats after asking for water and died en route to Massachusetts General Hospital. Her husband was notified.
