Agreement on School Fund Bill Ends City Dispute
Mayor Fitz Gerlad says he will seek legislative authority to shift from new school buildings to general school purposes. He reached agreement with the School Board and Finance Commission after days of debate to obtain the extra appropriation. Sullivan now agrees legislative approval is required, ending the funding dispute.
