Shot Dead at Post Office Window in Danvers
Danvers April 7 Henry Gursh 32 inmate of Danvers State Hospital was shot and killed by postmaster Charles Skillings at Hathorne station post office. Skillings claims Gursh attempted to rob the post office and Gursh fired three shots at the window. Gursh died from the heart and brain shots. Skillings was arrested and released on 2000 bond for a hearing tomorrow in Salem district court on a manslaughter charge. Samuel Lewis accompanied Skillings walking toward the hospital, witnessing the event.
