The National Mule Spinners Association wrapped its semi annual convention with calls to continue the shorter hours agitation. Delegates from Lewiston Holyoke Brunswick Winooski and other mills reported wage restorations in New England were not realized and urged locals to push manufacturers for better raises. The executive committee was expanded to eighteen and next meeting moves to October annually. Rhode Island mill hour law violations were noted and John Joyce of Dover New N. was awarded 100 for injuries from a mill incident. The gathering adjourned to meet again on the second Tuesday in October.

Cuban Bandits Suppressed in Santiago Province
In Santiago de Cuba on April 6 Major General Wood reports 22 bandits in custody at the military prison as authorities stamp out disturbances. Four bandits from San Luis and three from Guantanamo were also brought in. Jose Miro is not involved and cooperates with Wood.
