Mrs Mary Murphy, widow, while sorting rags at the B. D. Rising paper mill in Housatonic, found a roll of $50 in bills tucked inside a silk stocking. The white No. 9 stocking had a small pocket sewn inside the top. The money, four tens and two fives, was hers to keep. the rags came from New York.

Police say Bodobian denies involvement and may not be connected to the note.
