In East Cambridge Probate Court yesterday George A. Cochrane and his wife of 137 Pleasant Street Woburn won a petition to adopt Bernice M Roberts of Dorchester. Cochrane a commission merchant at 174 State Street Boston has no living children. Mrs Roberts married Boston elevated conductor Harry B Roberts three years ago and was previously Cochrane’s stenographer. The Roberts live at 49 Edwin Street Dorchester. The couple and Mrs Roberts husband declined to comment citing the petition which states the cause for adoption is unanimous and not detailed.
