Rex the St Bernard Saves Woman From House Fire
Mrs. William Hoar of East Boston and her dog Rex saved Minnie Leyden from a blaze at 220 Salem Street Malden yesterday afternoon. A wash boiler fire spread in a back room while naphtha clothes were drying. Rex pulled the woman to safety, and Hoar wrapped her in a rug to extinguish the flames. Hoar suffered a minor burn. Rex was hardly singed.
