At the residence of Eéson W Noyes in Haverhill Amelie Saulnier a domestic was fatally burned and Mrs Noyes sustained serious burns to her hands and arms along with a severe nervous shock Miss Sumer was in the kitchen when her clothes caught fire and she rushed to Mrs Noyes who was with her baby and clothes were in flames Mrs Noyes wrapped a rug around Saulnier to shield her and save the child.
