Bishop James J. Carroll Dies in Philadelphia

Philadelphia report notes Bishop James J. Carroll titular bishop of Metellopolis and rector of St Edward's Church died from complications of illness following a horse fall in the Philippines over a year ago. He relinquished his Far East diocese last November and was born in Portland Maine about age fifty. He was appointed rector of St Edward the Confessor after release by Pope Pius X.

A bill in equity filed in Salem Superior Court seeks an injunction restraining Michael McGovern of Peabody from selling or encumbering any property of Mrs Emily Crown McGovern.
