Matthew J. Crofts of 26 Blanche Street Cambridgeport left home Saturday evening to drink before Easter. Two men led him to a nearby saloon then toward a heroic when he died minutes later. Driver James H. Mulhearn collected half cash. medical examiners found death due to alcoholism. no signs of violence.
Burglars broke the front window at Charles L. Burrell of 69 Bartlett Street early today and seized a quantity of silverware and jewelry. Plated ware was left behind and police suspect professional burglars were involved.

A Rolla North Dakota report says W C T U women organized a circuit of local joints to gather evidence against blind pigs. Lin Bush attempted to bar entry. several bottles were seized before authorities intervened and the party was ejected. Some women were injured. assault charges were dismissed but the group vows to pursue the case.
The Ghent convention discusses party stance if universal suffrage is blocked. A thousand French Socialists, led by Roubaix officials, join protests at the station and rally outside the hall. Resolutions reject a general Belgian strike unless Parliament limits suffrage to age or rural heads of families, or grants plurality to property owners and diploma holders.
