Shelburne Surprised by Zionaville Post Office Nomination
The nomination of Thomass Shelburne by Representative Morrison for the Zionaville post office surprised many supporters and Shelburne himself. Shelburne, a prosperous stockman active in Democratic circles, faces mixed reaction to the choice. The Indiana Mothers' Baby Book, funded by a 1913 act, was approved for distribution beginning with February births, after a push by Dr J N Murty and state health advocates. The $2,500 appropriation falls short of the amount requested by the state board.
