A 12 year old boy Homer Robinson was fatally injured while attempting to board a moving Erie freight car at Markle. He suffered a fractured skull severe spine injury and a broken arm. Arm Torn Off In Geneva Cog Wheel Accident

Andrew Blick, Emmanuel Wirt, and Frank Boyd of Rock Creek township traveled to Geneva after a telegram said Frank Blick was severely injured. In a power house incident, Blick’s hand was crushed by cog wheels, leading to shoulder amputation. Doctors fear he may die or be crippled for life. Relatives went to Geneva to arrange care as Blick is from Rock Creek. Elick was working on a lease west of Geneva.

Death of Frank Blick After Arm Amputation

Frank Blick died soon after an arm amputation following a machinery accident. Internal injuries from the ground arm and shock contributed to his death, not solely the operation. He was 85, formerly of Wells county, survived by a wife and four minor children. Funeral tomorrow at his home with burial at West Grove Cemetery. Relatives had travelled from Rock Creek township to Geneva for his bedside.

Adjourned Wells circuit court shifts to Blackford four weeks

Judge Vaughn adjourned the September term of the Wells circuit court for four weeks. Bluffton attorneys will practice in justice courts or chase accounts while he attends Blackford county. Docket was light but many cases disposed. one new filing, one default judgment of $90 to Wilt & Co. against Adams. Twenty five divorce cases pending hint at heavy Blackford term ahead.

Mrs Aaron Worth Dies After Stroke at Bryant

Mrs Aaron Worth, of Bryant, died Friday afternoon from a paralytic stroke after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at 11 in Wesleyan church. She was wife of Rev Aaron Worth, a prominent prohibition party leader and congressional candidate, drawing sympathy from Wells county friends.

Walter Dickerson, a Poneto butcher, shot at a robber Friday night and believes he hit the man. He counted out cash, observed a stranger, carried his revolver, and fired when approached. The robber fled after the first shot and has not been seen since. The incident follows ongoing petty robberies in the area.
