Mrs. John I. DeWitt of Lancaster street dies after a long illness of consumption. She leaves four children, three sisters, and husband John I. DeWitt. Funeral services were held, with burial at a Rock Creek area cemetery. In a separate case, Mr and Mrs Hatfield, both about forty, die within seven hours of each other from pneumonia, leaving a son and several brothers. Sadie Gardenour is named as the wife.
