An old advertisement extols Virona as an unfailing cure for weak intellect and energy, impure blood, slow digestion, and general debility. It cites a physician endorsing its benefits for nerves, liver, kidneys, and states a bottle costs one dollar, with six bottles for five dollars, sold by M. A. Stout in the county.
In Eden the town constable arrests Adam amid a mid atmosphere of mock solemnity and comic legal talk. Eve stands by, while Adam protests he is a kleptomaniac and dodges habeas proceedings and injunctions before being ejected into the world to form a trust and practice kleptomania.

John D. Rockefeller pursues a new hobby of making glucose honey from corn juice using water sulfuric acid and lime. The crude glucose mimics honey but carries trace acid. He offers 500000 to chemists to produce acid free glucose at equal cost. Marketed as real honey, it is sold worldwide to unsuspecting grocers and children.
The marriage of Stephen Bryce of Toledo and Miss Elizabeth Hout of Bluffton is set for April 13 at the bride’s home in Bluffton. Rev C S Lester will officiate at the home ceremony, with 150 invitations issued, including out of town guests. The couple will reside in Toledo after the wedding.
Commissioner Ware with Secretary Hitch cock approves a pension rule set to take effect April 15. Under the general act of June 27, 1890 claimants over 62 will be deemed partially disabled for manual labor and receive 6 dollars monthly, rising to 8, 10, and 12 dollars for older ages, with higher rates for disabilities other than age.
John French, county assessor, received a clipping from Osakis Minnesota reporting the death of his aunt Mrs Minerva A Passon. Born in New York in 1828 she moved with her husband John H Passon to Adams County Indiana at nine years old then to the western states in 1855. She leaves a large family.
Mrs Delsa Baker died Thursday at 11 o'clock at her brother Charles Dalzell's Market Street home after a brief illness. The body was removed at noon Friday to her father George Horne's home in Logansport where the burial took place.

Notice from treasurer of R G Marcy Manufacturing seeks to rename the firm The Red Cross Manufacturing Company. The Wells Circuit Court hearing is set for April 29 1904 during the April term. The notice states Maurice Lipinski applies at the April 1904 Wells County term for a license to sell intoxicating liquor in a room on part of lot 7 in Bluffton. The front ground-floor room on Market Street, brick building, measures 180 by 6734 feet, with storeback space and glass plate windows. Lipinski, a 56-year-old male resident of Bluffton, has lived in the city over six years.
