Fire Destroys Deam Livery and Feeser Smith Shop
Fire on Market Street last Friday night consumed the Deam Livery Stable and Feeser Blacksmith Shop with eighteen to twenty sleighs and forty to fifty caskets stored in the second story lost. Edinger Nusbaumer and related properties sustained fires damage though some buildings survived with losses estimated around several hundred dollars to two thousand. Firefighters prevented further spread and rebuilding is planned for both properties with Deam erecting a two story brick livery and Feeser rebuilding a frame skeletal structure with iron siding.
